Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" was banned by MTV for featuring topless strippers.



Italian pop singer Sabrina Salermo became a part of sexy music video history with her video "Boys (Summertime Love)." The bikini she wore in the video must be described as a terrible bikini if keeping your nipples covered is anywhere on your list of priorities. Otherwise it's pretty good.

With a $5 million production cost, Madonna's "Express Yourself" became the most expensive music video at the time.



The same year, Chris Isaak released an instant classic, the simple black-and white video "Wicked Game" featuring supermodel Helena Christensen. While I think it's a bit absurd that the video would still appear so high on Sexiest Music Videos of All Time lists given the more recent competition (it was #1 on a Top 40 list by Fuse in 2010), "Wicked Game" clearly opened up a new sexier chapter in the history of music videos.
